Brothers Robin and Chris Sorensen opened the first Firehouse Subs restaurant on 10 October 1994 in Jacksonville, USA. They were both fully-fledged firefighters and were driven by two great passions: their pride in being firefighters and their enthusiasm for tasty sandwiches. Since 2021, the «Firehouse Subs» brand has been part of Restaurant Brands International (rbi), which now operates more than 1,200 branches of Firehouse Subs in America, Canada and Puerto Rico.

Firehouse Subs sandwiches offer the ultimate in enjoyment. This starts with the high-quality ingredients selected: from fresh vegetables to meat and cheese and hearty sandwich bread. Wherever possible, all ingredients come from local production or from Swiss partners.

 

For the Original Firehouse Subs sandwiches, the sumptuous filling is carefully heated in a special steam process and placed between the toasted slices of bread. They are available in countless delicious variants, with meat and cheese, vegetables, as a purely vegan sandwich, or put together according to individual wishes and preferences. For every sandwich sold worldwide, Firehouse Subs donates part of the proceeds to local first aid organisations.
